I had my clan site hosted with a different company that was extremely cheap. The old saying of you get what you pay for is so true. Support was not there. Downtime was ridiculous. I now have four websites hosted by Raven Web Hosting. Some years ago my provider disappeared and within hours Raven Web Hosting had my site copied and up on their servers. RavenNuke(tm) v2.30.00 is a major upgrade release. We have replaced the old Your Account module with the RavenNuke(tm) Your Account system. This replacement is based on CNBYA v5.0 beta but has been improved and secured. And that's only the beginning :). There have been many improvements in security, compliance, speed, efficiency, themes, and more. It is because of the amount of changes that we want to have more testing by other than our Development and QA Teams.
This round of testing will be a bit more formal than possibly you're used to. Once we have our group of testers we will assign specific areas of testing and procedures to use. This way the testing will be more organized and the patching will be more efficient. The testing results will be tracked through the Mantis issue tracking system. Those selected will have access to all releases prior to the public release. These are to be kept private and are not to be passed on into the "wild".
The selection process will be mostly first come, first selected. If you are interested in participating then please use the Contact Us link and select the RavenNuke(tm) v2.30.00 Testing Department. You must be a member of ravenphpscripts.com to participate. Submit your REAL name and a VALID email. Your real name and email address will be used for ALL correspondence including login instructions and verification for Mantis.
In the Message area please include ALL the following: * Your username at this site * Operating System (windows, *nix, mac, etc.) * PHP version * MySQL version * Web Server type and version (Apache 1.x 2.x, IIS v?.?) * What browsers will you be testing with? * Are you presently using RavenNuke(tm) (Yes/No)? DESCRIPTION: securfrog has discovered a vulnerability in WS_FTP Home and Professional, which can be exploited by malicious people to potentially compromise a user's system. The vulnerability is caused due to a format string error when processing responses of the FTP server. This can be exploited by e.g. tricking a user into connecting to a malicious FTP server. Successful exploitation may allow the execution of arbitrary code. The vulnerability is confirmed in WS_FTP Home version 2007.0.0.2 and WS_FTP Professional version 2007.1.0.0. Other versions may also be affected.
SOLUTION: Connect to trusted servers only.

Google Quietly Launches AdSense For Feeds
nb1 writes "Bits and pieces of Google's acquisition of FeedBurner continue to seep out. Friday marked the quiet "public" launch of AdSense for Feeds, a service that was soft-launched to a small group of AdSense users back in May.
Once integrated into publishers' RSS feeds, it'll serve up contextually-related advertising based around the content, helping publishers make money off the growing number of users accessing their site through RSS readers instead of the site where page and ad views have been factors in revenue. For users who did not have access to the AdSense for Feeds menu in Google's AdSense, it's a pretty straightforward setup.
Publishers can set ad frequency, placement, and have it only add them on content that's over a certain size. It also employs the same "channels" tool that lets you later track ad campaigns on certain sections of your site. Google Blogoscoped's Ionut Alex Chitu notes this release comes just a few weeks after the closure of FeedBurner's in-house ad publishing network, meaning all new publishers will need to through AdSense to be included in in-feed advertisements.
